The reason I like about Zebrina Pendula is because of its colour, distinct leaf-patterning and small long almond shaped leaf. When I bought this plant from local nursery, I was told that it is very easy to take care. Not so true! Afterwhile, the roots and stems started rotting. I did research, it was due to wet soil. I find this write up is fairly simple to understand - Tradescantia - How to Grow Wandering Jew Plants, it lists down the growing condition for Zebrina Pendula.

Often when googling for the name of a plant, you will probably get at least few names for the same plant. Some find it is really confusing, but I'm less bothered by it because Im more interested to know caring instructions and the beautiful pics shared by the bloggers or authors of the write ups. For me, I will stick to a name of my preference, for this, Zebrina Pendula is my preference :)
Only after googling I realised Zebrina Pendula has nice flower too! May be it is because I have always love purple. The small purple flower in 3 petals is too adorable to me. How come I have never seen my Zebrina bloom? Next, I must google more about how to make Zebrina Pendula bloom. Oh, this website is cool - Gardenweb.com
